Core Barre 'Syllabus Review & Updates'
This six hour review is designed to re-inspire, invigorate and preserve the classical core barre syllabus.
The updates will be delivered and discussed as well as a comprehensive review of the barre exercises with clear points of intention. Traditional pilates, classical ballet and general fitness concepts that are part of the CORE BARRE syllabus will be demonstrated and reviewed.
This review fulfills the necessary continuing education requirements for Certified CORE BARRE Instructors and is highly recommended for those wanting to enhance their teaching skills.
6 HOUR COURSE DESCRIPTION
The instructor will continue to develop the skills needed to teach a clear, well designed and energetic group class with focus on balanced muscular precision through effective types of cueing and demonstration.
The use of small equipment such as light weighted balls (1-3 pounds) and the small stability balls will be included for this review.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Review the CORE BARRE concepts of stabilization, how to successfully format a 55 minute class and teach the standard ballet barre and mat syllabus.
Learn effective and timely cues to safely challenge and motivate a group class white promoting focus, precision and strength.
This course provides a complete review of the classical CORE BARRE syllabus and empowers and motivates the teacher to effectively teach an awareness and appreciation for beautiful, mindful and Smart Movement®.

CORE BARRE Comprehensive Manual – *from the original certification course and used as a reference for all workshops from the CORE BARRE System of SMART MOVEMENT®. Updated CORE BARRE Manuals 2012 will be distributed to all paticipants.
